The Bar Wars were a series of contests between the regulars of Cheers and the regulars of Gary's Olde Towne Tavern.
There were eight such contests, chronicled in episodes nearly all named "Bar Wars," and Cheers lost nearly all of them. The Bar Wars ended with the destruction of Gary's Olde Town Tavern.
