Synopsis[]
Sam offers some assistance to a struggling Red Sox pitcher, but finds that his new friend's gain is his loss.

Miss Gilder arrives asking for Carla Tortelli to watch Carlas children. The people of the bar think that she is trying to sell them and watch the meeting. Carla has Miss Gilder punch her to see if she can handle the children and, after offering to pay her six dollars an hour (high pay for the time), Gilder does. Carla is very excited and immediately hires her.
