Steve is one of the background barflies, seen in several episodes starting in Season 2. Usually casually dressed, he is thin and wiry, with dark curly hair. He has a very cocky personality.
His most famous scene in Cheers might be in the episode "Loverboyd", where, as punishment and a message to the rest of the bar, Steve was shown tied up to a clothes rack. Steve's "crime" was picking the New York Yankees over the Red Sox to win their division.
