Not to be confused with another prior owner of Cheers, Gus O'Malley.
Gus is a previous owner of Cheers who is never seen. He is said by Norm to have been "two owners ago [before Sam]". He is already deceased when the series starts. In the episode "Last Picture Show", it is mentioned that an owner before O'Malley died while still in the bar. It is possible, albeit unlikely, that O'Malley was referring to Gus.
